Privates schools through their association the Kenya Private Schools Asscociation KPSA has gone to court to challenge the government decision to descriminate against them. Selection to goverment schools is over and pupils accross the country now know their fate. Anxiety is now replaced by desperation as shock hit pupils and parents as they miss their choive schools. The worst is the coast province case where the top coast province student found himself selected to a district day school missing his alliance and mangu choices.
In nairobi and most parts of central province, the competition for top schools is very stiff. You cannot get a national school with less than 410 marks. A provincial school school requires not less than 380 marks.
If i were you and you did not get your choice schools, two options, if you have the money, seek a good private school like the status of strathmore, makini and others. Second option, drop your results slip to selected schools of your choice and wait for feed back during the second selection.
Whatever you do, ensure that you first secure where you have been selected or else you risk loosing everything!
If you cannot afford the school you have been called to, just report to school and secure your place. There are several bursery option you cn apply to for assistance.
